	Midweld began as a small Village, however, the constant threat of fade beast incursion from beyond the eastern forest has caused many people to abandon or completely uproot and move their own homes and villages seeking safety in numbers from the vantage point of the central cliff top city. The growth of Midweld and their relative seclusion from [[Sutherfane]] and [[Vezenhold]] have given them the opportunity to develop into a burgeoning city-state in their own right. Disorganized but determined, Midweld's leadership and citizens are united in a common goal.
