Solomon Fairbeard
Backstory
50 years ago Solomon was a promising young Captain of a ranging party that hunted fade beasts around Midweld. While he was very talented he was also brash and lead his team into dangerous situations. But, they always came out on top, Solomon's team gained renown for their skill. The repeated success and fame made Solomon more and more reckless, and his most crew were on board.
One day they vanished, search parties were sent out but none would dare go as near the fade as everyone knew Solomon's team was likely to be. They were never found and, presumed dead. The community mourned their loss, and decided to re think their strategy for how they handled the fade. If a team as talented as Solomon's could be lost, who could be next? They were already struggling to keep the fade beasts at bay. This in many ways was a pivot point for Midweld. Rather than a loose knit collection of villages they realized they would need to band together and create a disciplined militia in order to prosper.
A week ago Solomon emerged from the Fade near Solace. He hadn't aged a day but his hair had gone from Black to a vibrant bright red. He has no memory of what happened to his team or how much time has passed. He just gets glimpses in his dreams each night and wakes up screaming.
Hearing word that someone else walked out of the fade. His team mate Proximo came to see who it was. Proximo seeing his friend nursed him back to sanity and explained the time loss.

Drew Cobb (28) Rogue
Drew and Solomon were fast friends and kindred spirits. They saw Eye to eye in a lot of things. This also meant that they were terrible influences on each other as that feed into the recklessness they got them into trouble but usually not too much that they couldn't get out of.
Mei Beauchamp (35) Ranger
Mei was the older one on the team. She wasn't really interested in leadership. But as the wiser one she would try an temper the impulsiveness of the other members.
Caitlyn Cogwright (30) Artificer
Caitlyn was very clever and seen as a wonderkid in the artificer field. But she didn't want to be contained in a lab so she joined a ranging team that would put her in close contact wit the fade. Her knowledge and devices proved very useful for the team.
