Solomon Fairbeard

50 years ago Solomon was a promising young Captain of a ranging party that hunted fade beasts around Midweld. While he was very talented he was also brash and lead his team into dangerous situations. But, they always came out on top, Solomon's team gained renown for their skill. The repeated success and fame made Solomon more and more reckless, and his most crew were on board.

One day they vanished, search parties were sent out but none would dare go as near the fade as everyone knew Solomon's team was likely to be. They were never found and, presumed dead. The community mourned their loss, and decided to re think their strategy for how they handled the fade. If a team as talented as Solomon's could be lost, who could be next? They were already struggling to keep the fade beasts at bay. This in many ways was a pivot point for Midweld. Rather than a loose knit collection of villages they realized they would need to band together and create a disciplined militia in order to prosper.

A week ago Solomon emerged from the Fade near Solace. He hadn't aged a day but his hair had gone from Black to a vibrant bright red. He has no memory of what happened to his team or how much time has passed. He just gets glimpses in his dreams each night and wakes up screaming.
