The humble township of Devinscliffe is located north of the Pelmoore Bay along the shores of Istun Lake. The scenic landscapes, relative isolation, and well looked after town make it a popular destination for Aardenian vacationers. Half a day's ride from the Imperial train lines, and only a day away from larger cities like Poskin or Ryleigh, Devinscliffe functions as a small town fishing and farming community while being close enough to luxuries and amenities that it's seeing steady population growth as the years pass by. Being located centrally in the upper-middle class Messerforth county of the Empire, however, means that moving to Devinscliffe is an expensive proposition for citizens to consider.

Alanna Dawson

Ms. Dawson manages the Dawson Inn and Public-House, a large establishment located atop a small cliff overlooking Istun Lake. Alanna Dawson moved to Devinscliffe from Sutherfane in 1213, having inherited a sizable sum of money following the untimely death of her husband. Purchasing the Inn, she immediately began renovations and renamed it in her late husband's honour. A beautiful woman, and still relatively young at only 39 years old, she's often sought after by suitors - however, even this many years later, she has yet to even entertain the notion of finding a new partner.
