A siamese cat, fading in and out of existence as if made of smoke, addressed Solomon as "Guardian" when it spoke to him.

The Dreaming is the name of an otherworldly plane connected to Aarden through yet unknown means. When knocked unconscious during combat, Solomon Fairbeard "woke up" in The Dreaming and was addressed as "Guardian" by a strange cat.
